The WVAEA, Inc. presents awards to outstanding individuals and progams annually. These awards are: Program of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Student of the Year, and Adult Educator of the Year. In addition, certificates of Appreciation are awarded throughout the year to deserving nominees at the discretion of the committee.

Committee responsibilities include:

• developing guidelines for each award and creating new categories when and if applicable
• distributing nomination forms to the membership
• compiling information on nominees
• selecting the winners for each category
• presenting awards to each recipient

The WVAEA, Inc. hosts an annual collabotative adult education and family literacy conference. Participating state agencies, literacy organizations, and community service organizations are represented on this committee.
