Awards Committee

The WVAEA, Inc. presents awards to outstanding individuals and programs annually. These awards are Student of the Year, Adult Educator of the Year, Adult Administrator of the Year, Collaborative Partner of the Year, New Adult Educator of the Year, Adult Program of the Year, Outstanding Service Personnel of the Year, and the Volunteer Literacy Provider of the Year. Award nominations are accepted each year from April 1 through September 30.

Committee responsibilities include:
     * developing guidelines for each award and creating new categories when, and if,
        applicable
     * distributing nomination forms to the membership
     * compiling information on nominees
     * selecting the winners for each category
     * presenting awards to each recipient
